Bil Senedd Cymru (Rhestrau Ymgeiswyr Etholiadol)| Senedd Cymru (Electoral Candidate Lists) Bill

Ymateb gan Unigolyn | Evidence from Individual

What are your views on the general principles of the Bill and the need for legislation to deliver the Welsh Government’s stated policy objective (to make the Senedd a more effective legislature by ensuring it is broadly representative of the gender make-up of the population)?

I believe the Welsh Government is going to fall foul of unintended consequences due to their inability to understand the difference between sex and gender. In this case we know that females (ie Adult human women) are underrepresented, however putting a dress & lipstick on a male who 'feels' he's a woman does not address the issues the Welsh Government is trying to remedy.

What are your views on the system of enforcement and potential sanctions for non-compliance proposed in the Bill?

Again, until the Welsh Government recognises the journey that females have through the political system and the how the challenges women face are different to those males do the whole premise is unfounded. The Government could end up enforcing sanctions, that a man who feels like a women didn't make the list, to the detriment of actual women who didn't make a list. The issue here is sex not gender.

Are there any potential barriers to the implementation of the Bill’s provisions? If so, what are they, and are they adequately taken into account in the Bill and the accompanying Explanatory Memorandum and Regulatory Impact Assessment?

Yes, the inability to not differentiate between a male and female

Are any unintended consequences likely to arise from the Bill?

Yes, the the whole thing backfiring due to the inability to distinguish Sex from Gender. Unless this happens there is still the potential for every member of the Welsh Government to have a penis, with some members covering their members with a skirt  rather than trousers. Unless you sort list adult human females, as at birth, then women will continue to be underrepresented.

What are your views on the Welsh Government’s assessment of the financial and other impacts of the Bill?

Given you are unable to differentiate between sex and gender and understand that this short listing bill needs to focus on the male and female sex, rather than 'feelings', I very much doubt your ability to do simple maths.

This is before we get into the law suits which will undoubtedly follow. And the huge waste of time and effort in publicity word salad tyring not to use the word 'WOMAN'

What are your views on the balance between the information contained on the face of the Bill and what is left to subordinate legislation? Are the powers for Welsh Ministers to make subordinate legislation appropriate?

Acknowledging women starts from the top down. Lead by example

Do you have any views on matters relating to the legislative competence of the Senedd including compatibility with the European Convention on Human Rights?

ECHR states that women must be allowed to have single sex spaces. This is by sex not gender. I have grave doubts that the Welsh Governement provides these and will continue to

Do you have any views on matters related to the quality of the legislation, or to the constitutional or other implications of the Bill?

Given the state of Wales, it beggars belief that increasing the number of 'MPs' in Synned and being unable to recognise by sex who these are is incredible.

Are there any other issues that you would like to raise about the Bill and the accompanying Explanatory Memorandum or any related matters?

Why are you unable to understand that people can not change sex, men are men, women are women.

Anything else?
